GROWTH FACTORS
FACTOR 4 IS HIGHLY CONCENTRATED AND SUPER-RICH PLASMA CONTAINING FOUR TIMES MORE GROWTH FACTORS THAN ANY BRAND BLOOD RICH INJECTION PRODUCT. FACTOR 4 IS AUTOLOGOUS WHICH MEANS IT IS HARVESTED FROM YOUR OWN BODY'S SUBSTANCE.
How is Factor 4 produced?
Your blood is processed using patented technologically advanced tubing, producing your Factor 4’s highly concentrated serum.
This 6–9 hour incubation process separates the cellular matter of your blood and extracts the super-concentrated rich growth factors and cytokines from your blood. The plasma concentrate is then spun and filtered to purify it, making your serum four times richer.
Generally 8–10mls of serum will be collected, which can vary from patient to patient.
We have a participating doctor who will collect your blood and spin it to collect the growth factors. Perth Skin Clinic will arrange your appointment as you will visit their clinic. Later we will pick up your Factor 4 to be used for your treatment.
How much blood is extracted?
Two x 10 ml vials. Your serum is portioned and frozen ready for your next appointments and used to treat your areas of concern.
Is Factor 4 mixed with anything else?
No. It is not diluted with any other liquid and is a truly autologous system (obtained from the same individual) making it completely natural and extremely rich in growth factors and cytokines, allowing for the creation of new collagen structures.
How much serum is needed to treat an area?
The face is one area and the neck/chest can either be one or two areas depending on the surface area. A good guide is four treatments of 2.5mls = 10mls which is generally required for one area, however this can vary from patient to patient. It is best practice to only treat one area at a time.
Are there any side effects?
Skin redness can persist for up to 24–48 hours and occasionally this may last two days. You may also experience mild bruising or swelling around your eyes and lips.
What is the recommended post care?
Please ensure you drink plenty of water and do not wash your skin for twelve hours. Moisturise your skin 3–5 times a day for 3–5 days. You may experience drier skin in the following days which is completely normal. Once the redness has completely dissipated, you can resume your normal skin care regime, however we suggest you check with us, should you have any questions or concerns.
